The second day of the Pro Kabaddi League 2025 featured two thrilling matches on Saturday, August 30, in Vizag. The first match saw UP Yoddhas triumph over Telugu Titans with a score of 40-35, while U Mumba edged out Gujarat Giants in a nail-biting tie-breaker.
Telugu Titans, who had lost their opening match against Tamil Thalaivas, were eager to secure their first win. However, they fell short against UP Yoddhas. Captain Sumit led the Yoddhas with eight points, and Gagan Gowda was a standout performer with 14 points.
Despite Vijay Malik's impressive 14 points for the Titans, it wasn't enough to clinch victory. The Yoddhas took an early lead, finishing the first half at 21-13. In the second half, they executed another all-out, maintaining their advantage as the Titans struggled to close the gap, ultimately losing by five points.
In the day's second match, U Mumba and Gujarat Giants were tied at 29-29, leading to a tie-breaker. U Mumba emerged victorious with a 7-6 win in the tie-breaker, marking a successful start to their PKL 2025 campaign.
Lokesh Ghosliya and Rohit Raghav each contributed four tackle points, while Ajit Chouhan excelled in raiding with five points. U Mumba held a narrow lead of 7-6 after the first timeout, but Gujarat Giants took control with a four-point lead after an all-out. U Mumba managed to narrow the gap, ending the first half at 16-15 in favor of the Giants.
Both teams fought hard, but U Mumba's early advantage in the tie-breaker, thanks to Ajit Chouhan's two-point raid, helped them secure the win.
